CF Guest List – Privacy Policy

Hello! The CF Guest List online booking application (“CF Guest List”) is provided by The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited (“Cadillac Fairview”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information collected, used or disclosed through the CF Guest List.

 

In this Privacy Policy, "personal information" means any information about you as an identifiable individual. This includes information such as any unique identifiers that could be linked to you through information that we have or to which we could have access.

Information We Collect and Use

  • Basic Identification Information: We collect your first and last name, cellular number, e-mail address. We use this information to process your request. For example, we will use the information to reserve your requested spot at your favourite retailer or to prepare for your scheduled curb-side pickup. This information is necessary to allow us and retailers to provide you with CF Guest List. We will also use this information to communicate with you, including e-mailing or texting confirmation messages.
  • Additional notes: If you include information in the optional notes section, we will collect that information. We will only use this information to address your additional notes. 
  • Location information:We may collect your approximate location within a Cadillac Fairview property based on the location, date and time of your selected appointment. This information is necessary to allow us to provide CF Guest List, and manage our properties.
  • Your requested store and service: The store, service and date and time you select during your use of CF Guest List will be collected. We use this information to provide you the requested service. For example, we will collect and use the date, time and specific shoe store you selected to reserve that pick up service for you. 
  • Anonymization of Information. We anonymize the personal information we collect about you with aggregated information of other users. This means that we cannot identify you. The aggregated anonymization information is used to help us understand and monitor the use of CF Guest List. 
 

 

 

When We Share or Disclose Information

  • Third party service providers. We use third party service providers and our affiliates to assist us in providing CF Guest List and associated products and services. We share this information with those third parties and our affiliates solely for the purpose of allowing those third parties and affiliates in providing the services to us. They are not permitted to use this information for other purposes. Information that we collect may be combined with information collected by our affiliates and us in order to better understand how you interact with us and our properties. This information will be anonymized.
  • Retailers. We will share some of your personal information, including your name, e-mail address, phone number, and requested services with the retailer you selected. The retailer requires this information to provide you with CF Guest List, for example, to reserve you spot in the queue, to ensure your purchase is ready to curb side pickup, etc. Retailers do not use the information for any other purpose.
  • We may sell or purchase assets.  If another entity acquires us or all or a portion of our assets, information that we collected from you may be shared with that entity. The information may also be shared for the purpose of that entity considering whether to enter into the transaction and also to complete the transaction.  
  • Legal purpose. We may also disclose your personal information in the following circumstances: (a) if such disclosure is necessary for us to receive legal advice; (b) to collect a debt from you; (c) if we are required to disclose your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation or the decision of a judicial authority; (d) if disclosure is requested by an investigatory body, law enforcement official or governmental authority which has lawful authority to request the disclosure of the information in respect of an investigation; (e) if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the information relates to a breach of an agreement or contravention of a law; or (f) where we are otherwise permitted to do so by applicable law.
 

 

Children's Privacy

You should be at least thirteen (13) years old to use CF Guest List and you should have your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent if you are under the age of majority in your province or territory of residence.

 

 

Security

We maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of any personal information transmitted to us using the CF Guest List. You have a shared responsibility to keep information that is collected or created through the CF Guest List. One way you can help keep your data secure is by ensuring you have installed the latest security updates and anti-virus software on your device to help prevent malware and viruses. Your personal information is processed and stored in Canada.

 
 

Retention

Your personal information will be securely deleted or anonymized within 30 days after your requested service is complete.

 
 

Privacy Notice Updates

We may amend, update and revise this Privacy Policy and apply any changes to information previously collected, as permitted by law.

Please note that we may request personal information from you in order to authenticate your identity before providing you with access to your personal information or complying with any request to correct or update your personal information.  

 

Please also note that in some cases we may legally deny you access to the information that we have collected about you.  For example, this may occur where the information is subject to solicitor-client privilege or consists of references to other persons or proprietary information that cannot be severed.

 

We may routinely delete certain records that contain personal information in accordance with our record-keeping practices. Although we will make efforts to comply with any request that you may make to destroy personal information about you that is not otherwise required by us to fulfill legal requirements or to protect our interests, you should be aware that it is not always possible to completely remove or delete all of your personal information from our databases without some residual copies of data because of backups, archival systems and other reasons.  We will not, however, continue to use your personal information for active purposes once you have requested us not to do so.
